November 2015 November marks the second of Random Access' Workshop Readings, in which Jessica assisted in the preliminary development of a new musical titled Unturning, based on the Thomas Hardy novel The Return of the Native.
Jessica also had a phenomenal experience as an actor in the devising company of The Nancy Project, an original physical theatre, ensemble based piece following the life of WWII heroine Nancy Wake. She was able to escape to Connecticut's Dragon's Egg Artistic Studio with the company in mid-November - an incredibly inspiring and enlightening oasis surrounded by nature and good company.
October 2015 Pinwheel! A New Musical may have closed in February, but Jessica reprised her role as The Lady Friend in a workshop reading of the most recent draft. It was wonderful to revisit the piece. Keep an eye on her Media page for excerpts from the soundtrack!
September 2015 After an August full of travel with friends and family, Jessica participated in a staged reading of She Stoops to Conquer as the venerable and spirited Kate Hardcastle. She also assisted with workshop sessions for two new pieces: Eden Far Gone, a dramatic re-imaging of the life of Charles Maurice de Talleyrand-Périgord in Philadelphia (Everyday Inferno Theatre Company), and Everyone is an Astronaut, which is the first of three selected works to be further developed as a part of Random Access' Workshop Readings.
July 2015 Jessica had a blast filming an industrial for contact lenses in New Jersey for AllDocs.
June 2015 Jessica and the cast of Wertenbaker's The Love of the Nightingale (Insomnium Theatre Company) finished a sold out run to positive reviews.
June also marked the end of her participation in residency at the Drama League, culminating in a final presentation of a portion of a devised adaptation of Alan Lightman's novel, Einstein's Dreams.
Jessica was also chosen to play in the Broadway Softball League's All-Star game; although her team was unfortunately defeated 9-8 a wonderful time was had by all.
March 2015 Pinwheel! A New Musical completed a successful run with sold out audiences. The show was featured as an "event you can't miss!" in Time Out New York.
Jessica recently filmed a commercial for up-and-coming fitness apparel subscription service SWEATSTYLE, as well as the pilot for a new webseries, Almost Vinefamous, in which she plays a spoiled Upper East Side private school girl determined to achieve internet notoriety. Look for it in May 2015.
Jessica has signed on to play Helen in the Insomnium Theatre Company's upcoming production of The Love of the Nightingale, running the 28th-31st of May at the Alchemical Theatre Lab.
She also participated in a living room reading of a sex thing (or a bunch of liberals getting uptight about the socio-political implications of their desires), a sexually explicit piece that pushes the boundaries of what can be produced onstage. It is an original script that has been crafted for submission to the Brick Theatre's summer festival, Fuckfest.
January 2015 Jessica is thrilled to officially announce she's joined the cast for the full original production of Pinwheel: A New Musical with Random Access Theatre as The Lady Friend/ The Fast Woman. The show opens in late March and will run until early April at the Alchemical Theatre Lab.
She's also begun Improv 201 at the Upright Citizen's Brigade; her graduation show will be on March 8th at UCBeast.
December 2014 Jessica is entering rehearsals for an upcoming staged reading of Uncle Johnny with Bottoms Dream Theatre Company. The script is a modern adaptation of Chekhov's Uncle Vanya; Bottoms Dream is known for reinventing classic works and she could not be more thrilled to embark on this journey with them!
November 2014 Jessica spent a wonderful workshop session for a new original musical called Pinwheel reading for two characters who represent opposite ends of the realm of feminine experience in the 1920's.
She's also excited to announce she'll be reading the role of Janine Grace in an upcoming staged reading of a new screenplay in development, Sunrise Highway.
October 2014 Having wrapped episodes of both Mysteries of the Castle, (Travel Channel) and My Crazy Love, (Oxygen Network), Jessica is looking forward to her Improv 101 graduation performance at UCBeast.
September 2014 Jessica and her cast have successfully completed their run of Ibsen's Rosmersholm. Of her performance, Theatre in the Now said, "The standout star of the production was the rarely seen but brightly [shining] Jessica Mosher as Ms. Helseth, the maid. Mosher made great use of her role, bringing quirkiness to the help."
She's also thrilled to announce that Limbo, the independent TV pilot she was privileged enough to work on in February, has been officially selected to premiere in the 12th Annual International Student Film Festival of Hollywood.
August 2014 Jessica has begun taking improv classes at the Upright Citizen's Brigade. The graduation show for her Improv 101 class will be at UCBeast on October 11th.
July 2014 Jessica finished a wonderful run of The Taming of the Shrew as a part of Shakespeare at Sunset at Brooklyn Bridge Park with Random Access Theatre Company. The Brooklyn Daily Eagle said of her performance, "Jessica Mosher of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, who added perhaps the biggest change to the original play with her portrayal of Tranio (usually played by a male), brought the play to life and put a fantastic spin on the story."
Hilarity ensued at the private workshop reading of a new screenplay called Beer Heist by screenwriters Keith Rubin and Tom Sanchez. Jessica was thrilled to read the role of Hannah, the misunderstood and under-recognized girl next door.
Jessica has just wrapped production of a new pilot for Investigation Discovery called Mansions and Murders, in which she plays a reluctant crime-solving nanny. Look for it next summer!
Jessica completed her heartbreaking work as Martha in A Piece of my Heart by Shirley Lauro at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts.
On April 21st, Jessica officially graduated from their two year conservatory program, was invited to join the 2014-2015 Academy Company, and was the honoured recipient of the Lawrence Langner Award for Excellence in Voice and Speech.
Jessica became a member at One-on-One.
Production wrapped on the student produced independent TV pilot, Limbo. Jessica plays Rachel, the bow-carrying, arrow-wielding, no-nonsense leader of those who have managed to retain their sanity in the story's version of purgatory.
Jessica performed Pink's "Glitter in the Air" and the Pistol Annies' "Hell on Heels" at the Bitter Bitches Cabaret series at the Underground in Manhattan.
